Hong Kong: shorelines and uncertain crossings
In this 3,200 × 3,200-cell sample, 37.6% of cells are classified as water and 24.2% remain automatic. The unusually large unresolved share matters: treating every unclassified cell as buildable land would make the map seem more certain than the source supports.
The broken-river appearance around some bridges was one reason we tested OSM bridge markers and narrow-strip removal here. Neither experiment became the published recipe. The current map instead reflects local and neighboring WorldCover evidence; use the preview to inspect the shore before choosing a place to build.
The sample covers a broad area around the city, not the administrative boundary. Its elevation extremes include terrain beyond the dense urban core. Water and elevation figures here describe this game grid only.
